How dotsi works
A name registry on Solana. A name points at a wallet, the wallet points back at the name. Registering burns $SI.
Rules
- One wallet, one name. Every address in the registry reads as exactly one name.
- Burn to register. 10,000 $SI for 5+ characters, 100,000 for 4, 1,000,000 for 3. The burn and the registration are one transaction: if it fails, nothing burns.
- No expiry. Names never lapse. Release yours any time to get the account rent back. The burn is not refunded.
- Transfers take two signatures. The owner offers the name, the new wallet accepts. Nobody can push a name onto your wallet.
- The program holds no money. No admin, no fees, no withdraw.
- Trading fees burn too. $SI creator fees buy $SI back and burn it.
- Upgrade key. The dev holds the program’s upgrade key until an audit, then burns it. Check it on Solscan.
- Wallet apps don’t show .si yet. Phantom and others only resolve .sol. Use this site or the API.
- A name is not an identity check. Anyone can take any free name. Verify the address before sending money.
